Hobble Strap + Sitter Combo

Leg control for transport and escort, in one kit.

This combo pairs the Humane Restraint Hobble Strap with the Sitter waist belt. Together they give you a fast, adjustable way to control a restrained subject’s legs during escort and transport. The hobble controls leg movement. The Sitter wraps the waist and clips to the hobble’s brass eye snap, which keeps the subject seated and the setup secure in the vehicle.

They’re carried in patrol bags and transport units for one reason: kicking in the back of a car puts the vehicle, the officers and everyone else on board at risk. This kit addresses that problem with gear that goes on in seconds and adjusts to any size.

What’s in the kit

Hobble Strap (HRBS-100)

• Transport: Controls the legs of a restrained person to protect the vehicle and all passengers.
• Escort: Applied just above the knees, it limits leg movement while walking.
• Arm restraint: It can also be applied to the arms behind the back. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
• Fast sizing: The spring buckle adjusts quickly, with no fumbling with webbing.
• Dimensions: 54" long, 1" wide, fully adjustable.

The Sitter Waist Belt

• Quick on, quick off: Press the spring buckle to open the belt fully, loop it around the waist and pull the webbing through until snug.
• Connects to the hobble: Clips directly to the Hobble Strap’s brass eye snap.
• Built for transport: Keeps the restrained subject seated and controlled in the vehicle.

Use and safety

• Use only as specified in the manufacturer’s instructions and in line with your agency’s policy and training.
• The Sitter is not intended for prolonged use.
• Never leave a restrained subject unattended.
• Move the subject out of the prone position as soon as possible and monitor their breathing throughout.
